On October 7, 2023, Israel faced a merciless attack. 1,400 individuals were killed including men, women, and children.
Over 3,000 were injured. 240 were taken hostage. The attack shook Israel, and countless individuals were left grappling with the harrowing reality of losing their homes, their loved ones, and – for many – their limbs.
As of December 24th, The Next Step is faced with 48 cases of complex amputation requiring extensive rehabilitation and prosthetic care with an average cost of over $100,000 per case.
